Activity in the region of Asturias surpassed 2014 levels by 7.6%, thanks mainly to its electrical production and capital goods.
Asturian industry has positioned itself as the region with the most growth nationally, registering an 8% year-on-year growth in November, 1.9% in December, and an accumulated level throughout 2015 of 7.6%, according to information from the National Statistics Institute, INE.
These figures mean that Asturias has the most outstanding annual average rate of all the Spanish autonomous communities. The national average reveals a growth of 3.2% over 2014 levels. As a whole, in 2015 industrial production increased in 15 communities. Asturias (7.6%), the Valencia (6.0%) and Castile-La-Mancha (4.3%) produced the highest average increases in 2015.
