This year´s edition will be focused on the attraction of investments to favour the economic development of Asturias
The President of the Principality of Asturias, Adrián Barbón, will attend on December, 12th., the XXVIII Asturian Business Forum. This annual meeting of business representatives, regional and national Administration, economic promotion bodies and entities, technology and research centres, universities and those people interested in the economic development of Asturias will be held at the Hotel de la Reconquista (Oviedo).
In this year’s edition, we will tackle the attraction of investments as one of the necessary strategies to favour the economic development and productive diversification of Asturias.
IDEPA, as a Regional Development Agency (RDA), commissioned by the Regional Government through the Asturian Ministry of Industry, Employment and Economic Promotion, offers specialized attention to investors that wish to reinvest or establish in Asturias throughout all phases of the project.
Industrial investment projects and scientific-technological talent
With this conferences we will showcase that Asturias is an attractive place for foreign investment with special attention to industrial investment projects and to scientific-technological talent to boost a pole of technological startups in our region.

Among the participants, have confirmed their attendance Borja Sánchez, Regional Minister of Science, Innovation and University; Belarmino Feito, president of the Asturian Federation of Entrepreneurs; Jorge Barrero Fonticoba, General Manager of the COTEC Foundation for Innovation; and Elisa García Grande, Project Director of Invest in Spain.
Will also be present Ángela Santianes Arbesú, President of DuPont in Spain and Portugal, and Ignacio de Colmenares y Brunet, President and CEO of ENCE Energía y Celulosa. DuPont and ENCE are two of the foreign capital companies with the longest presence in Asturias, and whose effects on economic activity and employment have been particularly relevant.
We will enjoy the intervention of Daniel Suárez Sánchez, CEO of Zapiens, an Asturian company dedicated to knowledge management within the companies.
Our purpose is that the conference will deal with the strategy of attracting investments from different fields.
