The alliance between ArcelorMittal and Frankstahl innovates from Asturias in the field of additive manufacturing
TheSteelPrinters, the alliance between ArcelorMittal and the Austrian company Frankstahl with its factory in the Principality of Asturias Business Park (PEPA), begins to bear fruit. It projects to manufacture around 2,900 spare parts for the industrial sector in two years.

The company’s forecasts are to supply 400 parts this year through additive manufacturing to Arcelor’s world conglomerate and to reach 2,500 next year, when it will be extended to other large industrial companies, including the chemical and automotive sectors.
ArcelorMittal Spain and Frankstahl came together in Asturias some months ago to form TheSteelPrinters, designing, manufacturing and commercialising replacement steel pieces for industrial equipment based on 3D technologies. Research, innovation, synergies and a competitive business environment shake hands in this success story born in our region.
As the company states, it “was born from the need to improve the supply of spare parts. TheSteelPrinters aims to transform the world through the 3D printed products we manufacture“.
