Just as it has transpired each year since 1984, and since 2012 under the new name of “IDEPA Entrepreneurial Drive Awards”, the Economic Development Agency of the Principality of Asturias is to present awards for innovative entrepreneurial management in three different categories.
In this year’s edition, the prize for the category of Excellent Corporate Management goes to the company Seresco. The winner of the Innovative Project category goes to ThyssenKrupp Elevator Innovation Center, and finally, the companies Aislamientos Suaval and Tekox are to share the Award for Internationalisation. This year there will be an additional award-winner, as the jury has decided to present a runner-up prize in innovation to Normagroup Technology.
These awards acknowledge and strengthen good practices in Asturian companies and therefore each winning company receives 15,000 euros, a certificate and a trophy. The award ceremony will be held at the LABoral Art Centre, on 5th April at 17:00.
Winners of the Entrepreneurial Drive Awards
The Innovative Project Award has been given to the “Iwalk: accessible innovation for urban mobility”, from the ThyssenKrupp Elevator Innovation Center.
The “Iwalk” is an ambitious moving walkway project, which thanks to ThyssenKrupp’s highly innovative technology will reduce installation work costs. This, and many other projects and patents registered year upon year, has helped the company to secure a position in the elite in the world of accessibility, innovation and sustainability.
Furthermore, the members of the jury for the 2015 Entrepreneurial Drive Awards, conceded a runner-up prize in this category, to the company Normagroup Technology, for the work in “Nassell: high energy-efficient intelligent LED lights that adapt to the surroundings and communications for new interior lighting systems”.
In another category, Excellent Corporate Management, which awards companies for their corporate management, the winner was Seresco technology for the work “The Seresco Integrated Management System on the path to excellence”.
This is important recognition for a management system composed of multiple quality certificates, which in 2013 set up an ambitious project that allowed the company to reach level 400+, according to European model standards in excellence in management, EFQM.
Finally, the Internationalisation Award has been given to two companies, Aislamientos Suaval and Tekox, thanks to the “Aislamientos Suaval Internationalisation” project and the “Tekox, an entire history selling quality from Asturias” project, for which they will share the prize money.
Both companies are present in 5 continents and are involved in large-scale international projects in their respective sectors.
