Both multinationals have their main headquarters in Aviles, Asturias. | The US Company is looking to expand in Europe following the acquisition of the Swedish company.
On 30th June 2016, the multinational CSC (Computer Science Corporation) sealed the purchase of the international company Aspediens, now Fruition Partners. Both companies are located in Aviles, with the Asturian headquarters constituting one of the main plant locations for both companies on a global level.
For CSC, the Asturian headquarters located in the PEPA (Principality of Asturias Business Park), is home to the company’s Advances Services Centre, and one of the three plants that the US Company has in Spain. Aspediens, on the other hand, has been present in the La Curtidora Business Centre since 2014, and before the purchase it was partner with CSC in the marketing of ServiceNow, a cloud application for service management and the integration of business processes.
The acquisition of Aspediens will enable the North American multinational to expand in the European market and to strengthen CSC services in the field of high corporate competency.
CSC growth in Asturias
According to the Asturian press, the Aviles-based centre specialising in consultancy solutions, system integration and outsourcing is the headquarters with the most employment and generation of workload in Europe. In fact, its growth in the region is a reality. The firm currently generates around 850 direct job positions in Asturias, according to claims from the Asturian press, and with new hiring prospects this figure is expected to reach a thousand.
