Altia expands to Asturias with a new digital hub in Gijón creating over 50 jobs

Asturias strengthens its position as a competitive destination for technology investment with the arrival of Altia, a multinational company specializing in advanced digital services. The company will establish a new hub in the Gijón Science and Technology Park, with an initial team of more than 50 professionals and plans to potentially double its workforce in the next phase of growth.

The project has been supported by SEKUENS, which has formalized an agreement with the company for its establishment in the Asturias I4.0 building, an environment designed to host innovation-driven initiatives.

This investment aligns with Asturias’ strategy to attract technology companies and consolidate a dynamic ecosystem in key areas such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, cybersecurity, cloud services and hyperautomation,

The Gijón Science and Technology Park offers a highly competitive environment for innovative companies, combining modern infrastructure, skilled personnel and strong links with research centres and the University of Oviedo. Altia’s new hub will enable the company to strengthen its proximity to clients and expand its activity in the region.

Altia is a Spanish multinational with more than 30 years of experience in digital transformation solutions for both public and private organizations. The company employs over 4,200 professionals from more than 40 nationalities, operates in more than 10 countries, and has a network of over 30 offices worldwide.


Listed on BME Growth since 2010, Altia reached revenues exceeding €300 million in 2025, reflecting its sustained growth and strong position in the digital services market.

 

Boosting Asturias’ technology ecosystem

Altia’s expansion builds on more than a decade of activity in Asturias, where the company has delivered projects for the regional government, local administrations, the Cantabrian Hydrographic Confederation, the University of Oviedo, and private companies in sectors such as energy and industry.


This new investment contributes to strengthening Asturias’ capacity to attract high value-added projects, generate highly skilled employment, and foster collaboration between international companies and the R&D&I ecosystem.
