TSOFT opens a Centre of Excellence in Asturias and will create thirty highly skilled jobs

The Argentinian technology multinational chooses the Gijón Science Technology Park to serve customers in Europe and Latin America.

TSOFT announced this morning the set-up of an international Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Asturias. The Argentinean technology multinational has chosen the Gijón Science Technology Park to set up a centre that will create thirty highly qualified jobs.

The CoE in Gijón will offer NearShore services for all customers in Spain and OffShore services for customers outside Spain, making it one of the first DevOps expert centres in our country with 24×7 coverage. It will be the first TSOFT´s IT solutions development centre outside Latin America.

During the presentation of the new office, the Regional Minister of Industry, Employment and Economic Promotion of the Government of Asturias, Enrique Fernández, expressed his satisfaction with this announcement, the seventh project to be implemented in Asturias within the framework of the Investment Attraction Strategy. “Asturias is confirmed as a pole of attraction for high added value investments”, said Fernández.

The presentation was attended by Jorge Zabaleta, COO (Regional Operations Director) of TSOFT Global, and Guillermo Lillo, Country Manager for Spain, as well as Eva Pando, Managing Director of the Economic Development Agency of the Principality of Asturias (IDEPA).

From Gijón, all the technologies involved in the IT lifecycle will be attended: Atlassian Suite, GitLab, CloudBees, Jenkis, Kiuwan, SonarQ, Checkmark, Dockets, Kubernetes, Redhat or Kasten, among others, on on-primise or cloud infrastructures (AWS and Azure).

The advantages of setting up in Asturias

The choice of Gijón as the location to set up this Centre of Excellence is part of TSOFT’s strategic plan, seeking locations with competitive working conditions in the Spanish market that allow access to highly qualified professionals, characteristics that make this CoE stand out.

TSOFT is looking for a sustained growth in Spain during the next three years of investment, and its idea is to consolidate thirty qualified profiles in the Gijón CoE.

Among the advantages of setting up in the Gijón Science Technology Park, the multinational highlights the access to technical personnel of reference in Asturias, with specialized training in the Gijón Campus of the University of Oviedo, or the ease to establish synergies and links with the surrounding companies, one of the economic engines of the region.

Automation and software efficiency

Specialized in the development of technological and digital transformation solutions for the business sector, TSOFT was founded in 1999 and its activity focuses on the automation and search for the efficiency of the software life cycle. It currently has a presence in six countries and employs more than 1,200 people.
